APPEALS
If you are convicted of a crime, and sentenced, all is not lost. The difficult process of appealing your decision is a viable option for many people.
Appealing is essentially asking a higher court than the one that convicted you to review your case and ensuing conviction and sentence in order to find possible error or injustice.
There is no guarantee an appeal will be heard, in fact many are not, however it is still a viable option for those convicted and serving time in prison.
